  1. i downloaded filezilla and i put the ip address and port numbers from what the app tells me to connect to and its not working. can you help?

  2. Sure Reena. Make sure your iphone is Wifi connected to your home Wifi network. Your iPhone should have the Wifi icon next to your AT&T logo. Next, launch Karaoke Party and go to the Transfer tab. Wait for the IP address to appear and try connecting again. You should connect to Port 40000. So for example, if your IP is 192.168.0.5, you will connect to 192.168.0.5 and specify the port 40000.
Make sure Karaoke Party is running when you try to FTP to your iPhone, otherwise it would not work. Also make sure your own computer is connected to your network. Besides that, you can try rebooting both your computer and turn off and on your iPhone (hold power button for 10 seconds to turn off, and then turn it back on), and try filezilla again. Let me know how things turn out. If it still doesn't work, perhaps you can send me a screen shot of your filezilla settings.

  5. Hi Joe,

Try turning Up the volume for both Karaoke Party (the slider), and the iPhone's own internal volume (by using the volume knocker on the side of the iPhone). The volume should be very loud if you turn up both volumes. I'll also send you an email in case this message didn't get to you. Thanks

  7. I can make the sound loud enough when I hook my iPhone up to speakers or use the headphones but it's really low when it is just the iPhone by itself. I was also wondering is there a way to delete songs from the application itself?

  8. having paid for this app i'm really dissapointed that after highlighting that there is obviously a sound problem, the author has still not given me the courtesy of a reply. Will be reporting this app as a no user unless some sort of communication is forthcoming

  9. John, the solution I gave to Joe is the only one available. The technical explanation is that if both the microphone and the speaker is active, the volume is diminished. This is because the iPhone has two speakers. One is above the touch screen. The other is below the touch screen. When the microphone is active, only the speaker above the touch screen can be used. Other applications such as "I am T-Pain" has the same problem, and they recommend in the App to use headphones for best results.
I apologize that there is no fix for this, and if you need a refund, you can can definitely contact Apple in regards to that. If you need any further help, feel free to contact cooleyandy@hotmail.com with your question. Thank you.

  10. Hi Andy,

I have tried a couple of other iphone karaoke players but i wanted to be able to fast forward and rewind.

As you state that yours does this i have bought it.

Unfortunately using the IP: http://192.168.1.5:40000 doesn't work.

It does work on the other software that i have bought. Can you help me please.

    Thanks

    Paul

  11. Sure. You will need an FTP program to transfer songs to Karaoke Party. Try either Cyberduck for Mac, or FileZilla for Windows. Both are free to download and you can easily find it via Google.com. Karaoke Party uses FTP because it allows the user to transfer many songs at once, as opposed to one song at a time like most other Apps. If you need any more help, feel free to ask away.

  12. Sorry Andy,

I have tried another two FTP programs and your karaoke party doesn't work.

    Thanks for trying.

  14. Hi Carmen, make sure the names of all the zip files you are transferring are in all lowercase letters.

    ReplyDelete
  15. By the way Carmen, are you transferring the karaoke files as separate CDG/MP3 files or as a single ZIP file?

  17. Hi Jelly,

You can get some sample CDGs at http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/dnl_samples.php

    Enjoy.

  18. I can transfer the songs fine, but none of them will play, not even a sample from the above link. Any Suggestions?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hi dgwebmail. If you don't see the CDG songs that you have transferred into Karaoke Party, try exiting and restarting Karaoke Party to see if the song list is updated. The song list is not updated if you try to upload songs into Karaoke Party while Karaoke Party is in the song list tab.
By the way, when you are saying the song does not play, do you mean when you click on the song in the song list, the song will not play? Or do you mean you don't see the song in the song list after you uploaded the song?

  20. Hi Andy,
I do see the songs in the list, but when I press the play button nothing seams to happen. It goes to the Karaoke screen Displays Time: 00.00 +0.0 sec and the title of the song underneath it and all the controls. When I push them they turn a darker gray and when I release back to how they were. The red record button works though. I am using a 32GB touch 3GS
    Thanks, Darryl

  21. Hi Darryl,

Is there a place where I can get this particular CDG or Zip file. I'm going to take the exact steps you did and see if I encounter the same problem. We'll get this problem fixed in no time :-)

  22. I can't seem to get it working either on my husbands iPhone. But it would be a great application if you can seemlessly get it to work! My sister is a professional singer and I've gradually got into it now so I've finally got myself a CDG Karaoke Player from Sing To The World, which is a great bit of kit, so now we can spend time at each others now too!

  23. Hi Andy,

I have some of my own but I have also tried the samples at
    http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/dnl_samples.php
I figure if I can get either of these to work, then if mine don't work then I have a problem with mine. I also have Karaoke Anywhere and it works fine with mine and the samples, but doesn't have as many options.

  24. DGWebMail, in the link http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/dnl_samples.php, did you download the CDG file, or the ZIP file? I've tried the "Mary had a little Lamb" ZIP and it works.

    ReplyDelete
  25. DGWebMail, along with what I wrote above, try sending one of your CDG+MP3 or ZIP of the non-working karaoke file to loktaifung@gmail.com. I'll test it out with my iPhone.

  26. The Volume of the Karaoke Files is toooo low. It is possible to make a update with more Volume. It isnt possible to hear the songs.

  27. Hey guys, I have written much more detailed instructions to transfer songs in my blog. Hope it helps.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hi. I've transferred songs ok, but the volume is way toooo low. Even my amp doesn't make a lot of difference. Far too quiet to sing along to. I've turned the mike off and the volume up full but it's barely audible even then. Any ideas other than those shown above ?
